First Victoria’s Secret Model With Down Syndrome is 24 Years Old.
If there’s one thing that all of us have, it is a dream. This is true of everyone, including a 24-year-old woman with Down syndrome, Sofia Jirau. Despite the fact that she is young, she is doing quite well and has overcome the odds.
Sofia began her modeling career and before long, she was being shown at New York Fashion Week. If you don’t know, that is a very important fashion event and it has a worldwide reach.
These days, Sofia has taken things to the next level because she is the first model with Down syndrome to be a Victoria’s Secret model.
She admits that when she looked in the mirror as a youngster, she said that she was going to be a model and businesswoman. Now, she is one of 17 women who were chosen to be part of the group that would display the new collection of undergarments, Love Cloud.
They say that each of the undergarments is made comfortable enough so that you can wear it all day long. The models were chosen to be inclusive.
According to the chief creative director at Victoria’s Secret, The Love Cloud Collection was a major movement in the brand’s evolution. They are proud of the women who bring the undergarments to life, and the campaign is going to set the standard for them moving forward.
Sofia sent out a personal thank you to Victoria’s Secret for seeing her as a model who has no limits and making her part of the campaign.
You might even be interested in knowing that Sofia has other dreams as well. One of those is becoming a businesswoman and now that she has launched her own online store, she can check that one off her list as well.
In the store, you will find her brand on mugs, phone cases, wallets, and shirts, just to name a few. Now that she is a Victoria’s Secret model, it seems as if her level of success knows no limits.
She said: “My people, dream big. Inside and outside there are no limits. Thanks to everyone who has congratulated me, I am very happy and joyful.”
