On Wednesday, Prince William, 39, and Kate Middleton, 40, attended a dinner hosted by Sir Patrick Allen, Governor of the Island of Jamaica (March 23). Kate Middleton made a stunning entrance in an emerald green dress. The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning in an emerald green Jenny Packham dress with bright details and no belt.
Kate embellished her collection with jewelry from Queen Elizabeth II (95). Although the set consisted of five components, including a pair of earrings, a necklace, a bracelet and a ring, Kate chose only three, the earrings and the bracelet.
The Duke of Cambridge wore a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. The Queen’s cousin also spoke at the event.
The Dukes of Cambridge take an eight-day tour of the Caribbean to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Anniversary Platinum Jubilee. When the royal couple arrived in Jamaica, they were greeted by protesters who called on Britain to apologize and pay reparations for slavery. Protests are also taking place in the Bahamas, where the couple is expected today, March 24.
William told visitors he “fully supported” his 73-year-old father, Prince Charles, who declared in Barbados last year that slavery was a “thorn in the side of history”. I want to express my great sadness. Slavery was horrible. And that should have happened in the first place.”
Prince spoke of the Windrush generation, who immigrated to Britain from the Caribbean to help rebuild after World War II. Kate and William married in April 2011 and have three children together: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who are all eight (3) years old.
