Tomato Juice: A Drink That Contains a Handful of Jaw-Dropping Benefits

The scientists at the University of Taiwan undertook an experiment to find out why tomato juice is so healthy. In this experiment, women of different weighs, origins, and ages drank one glass (250 ml) of this juice every day for 2 months. Their eating habits or exercises did not change.

Weight loss was the most visible result, which was due to elimination of fat reserves, not elimination of excess water. Blood samples from the women tested showed increased lycopene (an antioxidant found in tomatoes) and reduce levels of cholesterol.

The experiment reflected that one glass of tomato juice can boost the immune system, reduce cancer risk, and protect the heart from diseases. In addition, this drink can help with lung and liver diseases, pancreas, supports elimination of excess water, and help with digestion issues. It is good for the skin and can notably improve blood, ease rheumatic symptoms, prevent anemia, and reduce coughing.

If you consume tomato juice, the muscle pain that can come after an intensive workout can disappear. Since it is rich in magnesium, this drink can be a natural remedy for muscle cramps. Tomato has vitamin C, carbohydrates, vegetable proteins, calcium, and potassium. In order for the effects to be complete, if you’re purchasing the industrially processed tomato juice, make sure that it’s organic.

Ingredients Required to Make Homemade Tomato Juice:

2 tablespoons of salt

4 tablespoons of sugar

13 pounds of tomatoes

Wash the tomatoes in cold water after removing the stems. Slice and pound them, integrate sugar and salt, and then at medium heat, go ahead and cook the mixture.

To prevent burning, stir repeatedly. Cook in for ten more minutes when the mixture begins to boil. Don’t stop stirring. Into glass bottles, pour the cooked mixture. Don’t forget to place the bottles in a cool area.  Source: myilifestyle
