A lemon is a fruit which is good for our health, more so to our skin. Here are some 8 ways on how a lemon is very important to us.

Removes age spots- if you apply a lemon before sleeping and wash it off in the morning with cold water for one or two weeks, it will cleanse the skin and lighten it. If it is the whole body, use a half a cup of lemon juice when bathing, remember to soak yourself for at least 20 minutes.

For a soft and a bright skin, apply a lemon juice on the desired are of your body.

Eliminates Blackheads: Upon rubbing a lemon on the body where blackheads are present, daily during night time, they will surely disappear.

When you mix a lemon, honey and olive oil in equal amounts, you produce a moisturizing mask fit for dry skins, which you apply to dry areas and leave to dry fully for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water.

When you mix: 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons vodka, 1 teaspoon witch hazel and 1 tablespoon of distilled water, you produce a toner for oily skins. The application is with a cotton ball, then rinse with cool water. If sored in a refrigerator it should last for a week.

Exfoliates dead skin cells- If you rub a cut lemon dipped in a half-teaspoon of sugar for few minutes over your face for a week, the dead cells of the skin will be removed and you will have a fresh skin.

To make anti-wrinkle mask, mix drops of lemon juice, a drop of sweet almond oil and a teaspoon of honey together, then apply the end product to the face and allow 20 minutes for drying, then wash off.

You can always dilute the lemon juice if your skin is sensitive to citric acid. Use the lemon juice after exposing you skin to the sun, or else your skin will turn more sensitive to the sun.
